Japanese DMCA
Japanese DMCA ("Act on the Limitation of Liability for Damages of Specified Telecommunications Service Providers and the Right to Demand Disclosure of Identification Information of the Senders" very long name...) was established in 2001, and then enforced on May 27, 2002. There are only four articles in the Act. The most important difference between DMCA and the Act is that escaped liabilities by the Act are not limited to copyright infringement. According to the Act, ISP can escape liabilities by defamation, privacy right infringement, trademark infringement and so on.
