Recently, the draft of "Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement" was published. The affiliate countries are US, EU, Suisse, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Singapore, Mexico, Morocco and Japan. I think that countermeasure against piracy is one of the most important matters in actual business related Intellectual Property because creator's motivation should be protected and maintained for creative activity. However, I don't agree with overprotection of rights holders. For example, I disagree with extension of Copyright duration of Japanese Copyright Act. Anyway, the balance is important. Incidentally, I am interested especially in chapter 2, section 4 "Special Measures Related to Technological Enforcement of Intellectual Property in the Degital Environment".
